Render Spraying Services
Render spraying is one of the most cost-effective ways to transform a tired commercial building without the disruption and expense of replacing the render entirely. Whether you manage a retail unit, warehouse, office block, or industrial premises, the outside of your property tells customers, clients, and passing trade what to expect inside. If that first impression is faded, stained, or just looking dated, our professional render spraying service can bring it back to life.
Over the years, we have worked on all sorts of rendered buildings across the Midlands and beyond. Each property has its own character, and each needs a different approach when it comes to restoration. What stays the same is our commitment to doing the job properly, using the right materials and equipment to deliver a finish that lasts.
What Is Render Spraying?
Render spraying involves applying a new coating to existing rendered surfaces using specialist airless spray equipment. It is not the same as painting with a roller or brush. The spray technology allows us to apply the coating evenly and efficiently, creating a smooth, consistent finish without brush marks or thin patches.
The coatings we use are not ordinary paint. They are advanced breathable silicone and acrylic formulations designed specifically for exterior render. They need to do several jobs at once. They have to look good, obviously. But they also need to protect the underlying render from weather, let moisture escape from inside the wall, resist algae and moss growth, and stay flexible enough to move with the building as temperatures change.
Why Choose Professional Render Spraying?
Render is fundamentally different from metal cladding or composite panels. Because it is porous, it has to breathe. If you seal it with the wrong type of paint or apply it badly, you trap moisture inside the wall. That is when problems start. Bubbling paint, peeling coatings, and eventually cracks that let water into the fabric of the building. We have seen it happen more times than we care to remember, usually when someone has tried to save money by using a general decorator who does not specialise in this kind of work.
Extended Building Life
A high-quality render coating protects the underlying structure from rain, frost, and pollution. By sealing hairline cracks and preventing moisture ingress, it stops small problems becoming big expensive ones.
Weather Protection
A properly applied render coating creates a seamless barrier against wind-driven rain and frost, keeping the inside of your building drier and more comfortable.
Our Process
Every building is different, but we follow the same careful steps to make sure the finished job is right.
Our Render Spraying Process
Every building is different, but we follow the same careful steps to make sure the finished job is right.
1. Specialist Render Assessment
First, we need to understand exactly what we are dealing with. We visit your property and carry out a thorough inspection. We check the condition of the render, looking for any cracks, areas where previous repairs have been done, or sections that might be hollow or loose. We assess how porous the surface is because that affects how the new coating will bond. This assessment tells us which coating system will work best for your particular building.
2. Thorough Surface Preparation
This is the stage that separates a job that lasts from one that looks poor within a year. We clean the surface thoroughly, usually with professional pressure washing, to remove every bit of dirt, algae, and loose material. If there are any cracks or damaged areas, we repair them properly. Then we apply a stabilising primer. This might seem like an extra step you could skip, but it is essential. It gives the topcoat something to grip onto and helps it bond evenly across the whole surface.
3. Professional Spray Application
Once the preparation is done and the primer has cured, we apply the new render coating. We use advanced airless spray equipment, which is why the finish is so smooth and even. No brush marks, no roller stipple, no thin patches where you can see the old colour showing through. Just a clean, consistent finish that looks like new. Our technicians are trained to apply these coatings properly, keeping a wet edge and making sure the coverage is even across the whole elevation.
4. Final Inspection and Aftercare
When the work is complete, we do not just pack up and disappear. We walk round the building with you and make sure you are happy with everything. If you need maintenance down the line, or you decide you want another section doing, we are only a phone call away.
Types of Render We Work With
We have experience with all common types of render found on commercial and industrial properties:
Smooth Cement Render: Common on modern commercial buildings and industrial units. Requires careful preparation to ensure good adhesion.
Pebble Dash and Textured Render: Traditional finish found on many older properties. The texture needs to be maintained, not flattened by heavy-handed application.
Silicone Render: Modern, breathable render system often used on insulated buildings. Needs compatible coatings that maintain breathability.
Acrylic Render: Flexible render commonly used on modern developments. Works well with high-performance acrylic coatings.
Monocouche Render: Through-colour render that can be refreshed with suitable coatings to extend its life.
